Musician Bio
Victoria Kintner joined the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra in April 1993 after membership in the Boston Pops Esplanade and Boston Ballet orchestras. She was also a frequent extra musician with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops.
Born in Huntington, New York, she grew up in Milwaukee and earned a B.M. degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Ms. Kintner is a member of the Quattra String Quartet and since 2015 she has written the programs for the ISO’s Teddy Bear series. The programs, designed for children ages 3-6, consist of original stories, live musical selections, and movements for audience participation. The lively programs introduce the instruments of the symphony orchestra to young children.
Ms. Kintner has received the Alice Akins Award for Excellence in Music Education and she is a 2017 Creative Renewal Fellowship Grant winner. She has one son.
