Musician Bio
Micah Reinharz has been playing trumpet for over a decade. He began in Arlington, Virginia where he grew up around members of the various military premiere bands and the National Symphony Orchestra. These musical experiences inspired him to pursue a degree in trumpet performance at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of music, where he studied with Thomas Rolfs, Michael Sachs, and David Bilger. After completing his studies there, Micah earned a Master’s in Trumpet Performance at Indiana University studying with John Rommel.
Micah spends his summers playing in various music festivals including the Tanglewood Music Festival for the 2024 season, the Brevard Music Center Orchestra in 2023 and 2022, and the Berlin Opera Academy in Kandersteg, Switzerland in 2021.
He has played with the National Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, and is an active substitute with the New World Symphony in Miami. Outside of the trumpet, Micah enjoys the outdoors, cooking, and teaching younger musicians.
