Instrument Petting Zoo
Learn about the different instruments of the orchestra! Our instrument petting zoo offers violin, plastic trumpet, plastic trombone, flute, kid-friendly wind instruments and various percussion instruments to try touching and playing!
Musician Visits
Host ISO musicians in your classroom! Request coachings for individual students, chamber groups, or sectionals for orchestra rehearsals. Top it all off with a performance or Q&A from our musicians!
ISO Staff Member Career Presentation
Do you have a career day at your school? Have one of our staff members show you what a day in the life of an arts administrator looks like and how we got here! We can tailor the presentation based on your classroom needs.Â
The Sassy Violist
The Sassy Violist, our very own ISO Acting Associate Principal Violist, Amy Kniffen, believes that the art of storytelling is the most effective way to educate students of all ages. She has developed her own curriculum that combines elements of music, literature, poetry, history, and social justice in an immersive experience that uses live music to educate.

Post-Concert Meet & Greet
For school groups, we are offer a post-concert “Meet & Greets” with our musicians upon request! These sessions take place immediately following concerts, and last about 10-15 minutes. Please make sure to put in your request at least two weeks prior to the performance!Â
